“I liked the idea of a table that was solid, but also gave the impression of a lightweight, almost suspended object. I wanted to highlight the contrast between the materiality of a thick type of wood with a very natural fi nish and an aerial structure that started off from a heavy base and then thinned out to produce a sense of lightness”.
