exhibition design for:
Marmomacc meets design 2009 “Hybrid and Flexible”,
at Triennale di Milano, from 14th to 19th april 2010
On show are the projects of Marmomacc Meets Design 2009 by internationally famous designers and marble companies focusing on hybrid projects, flexibility, contamination, mutation, metamorphosis and transformation.
The project is based on the “contamination” of materials, production processes and aesthetics, seeking to analyse the mutation and metamorphosis of forms and styles and the transformation of cultural and creative processes.
Such crossways approaches are acknowledged here as true moments in development, where design achieves a new synthesis between mechanical processes, technology, languages and attitudes.
The designers and companies involved: Patricia Urquiola with Budri, Marco Piva with quarry Romana, Marta Laudani e Marco Romanelli with Consortium stones & Dintorni, Luca Scacchetti with Grassi Pietre, James Irvine with Marsotto, Michele De Lucchi with MGM Furnari, Alberto Campo Baeza e Philippe Nigro with Piba marbles, Aldo Cibic with Santa Margherita, Tobia Scarpa with Testi Fratelli.
