An exhibition in Vicenza stone

The “bet” which was at the base of this project was to transform the perception of stone in Vicenza, a stone material historically used for filled and compact architectonic volumes, into something light and whole.
In this sense we propose this “contemplative” installation that invites us to reflect on the possibilities and suggestions of lightness that stone can thus produce.
A double backstage consists of thin horizontal strips that delimits the installation space: an island realized in wood bark on which there is a sinuous path, made up of flared elements. The path is not flat, nor inert, but has soft inclinations that enhance the effect of lightness produced from the two perimeter walls.
A stone monolith at the center of the exhibition area emphasizes, for ounterpoint, the lightness of the whole.
