Wonderoled is a new OLED lights collection by Blackbody designed by Cibicworkshop (Aldo Cibic and Tommaso Corà) to explore potential artistic and architectural uses of OLEDs.
Hanging, floating and spellbindingly interwoven, the Blackbody OLED panels have shaped out the future of lighting with a new technology that will change the world we live in.

Oled
OLED lighting solutions give rise to new use for light. Long-lasting (20,000 hours life), ultra flat, glare-free, and heat-free, these luminous panels are reinventing home lighting.
OLEDs, organic light-emitting diodes form 2 mm thin luminous surfaces. They belong to the family of semi-conductor lighting sources just like LEDs, which are commonly used for outdoor lighting and automobiles.
However, OLEDs rely on organic substances such as carbon and hydrogen to emit light.

About the pieces:

Flying Ribbon: Ethereal and without thickness, a light ribbon flying in the atmosphere and designing volumes in an changing way.

Blossoms is a cherry tree in bloom with interweaving branches, finished by a luminous disc like a flower of light.

Teka is a timeless object, inspired by Vienna museum displays, first microscopes and scientific instruments in brass. The hand polished Taek and brown brass chassis meet the purity of 15 OLED discs, result of the latest advances in nanotechnology.

Wish Tree is a lightweighted structure whose stems are holding sheets of light, with an imaginary text, which lit on once hung on the branch.

Blackbody
BLACKBODY, brand of Aston Fiamm, proposes a new approach to OLED lighting, enabled by a structure that associates performance and autonomy. BLACKBODY’s team, of 25 researchers, from 5 different nationalities has developed a large expertise in various fields such as Quantum Physics, non-linear Optics, Chemistry and Electronics.
