Another Jesolo (Beach community near Venice)

2007 – IUAV Summer workshop at the Architecture Department of the IUAV Venice

128 students take on the project of an ecosustainable development in the inland lagoon area of Jesolo.
On one side the tourism of Jesolo with it’s crowded beaches, condominiums, hotels, nightclubs, restaurants etc, that has a life span of 3 months during the summer. On the other end, the idea of entering “on tip toes” into a nature reserve to be enjoyed with love and respect, to take advantage of all that the nature has to offer all year long, close to the city in an oasis where one can live in harmony with nature and it’s cycles.

The results of the workshop was published in the book “BEACH LIFE“, edited by Frame Magazine.
